Windsheild washer nozzles dont really work. leak behind them.

anyone have a part diagram of that cowl area so I know how hard it is to take apart? or even better have a video?

I doubt you have the same issue, but my a4's simply got clogged up. Just used a pin to clean the holes out and presto, spaying like normal. Worth a check

hmm. there is certainly a leak behind it...but dunno if its because its clogged. I’ll give it a shot

It’s probably because it’s clogged so it caused the hose to come loose.

Cleaning the nozzles works sometimes, but the best way I’ve found it unhook the hose at the pump and send compressed air through the line and will get any shit in the nozzles out. You have to be careful not to blow the hose out. You can also take the nozzles out and blow them out directly.

The nozzles are part of the hose. If it’s just a hose break somewhere, or rodent damage (which I’ve been seeing a lot of), it might be something you can repair with a hose section and some plastic unions.

The joys of plastic pushpins:

Get a little wedge under the edges of the pins (20 and 50 above, two of #20 and four of #50) and pry gently, the centers should pull out enough to retract and lift out the bases. The cowl might be stuck to the windshield a bit, try lifting it gently out of the groove gradually. Make sure those drains line up right when putting it back together.

Pop the plastic caps off of the wiper arms.

Remove the 16mm nuts from the arms, remove arms.

Remove the 4 plastic screw-rivets from the bottom of the wiper cowl.

The cowl clips into the windshield sort of like how zip lock bags close. Just pull the cowl straight (by straight I mean perpendicular to the glass) away from the windshield starting at the edges, where it meets the A-pillars.
